The Orthodox Synagogue was built in 1926 and it is the synagogue of the followers of the Mosaic religion. Because of the looting and destruction during the inter-bellum period the synagogue was closed. The ceramic mosaic above the entrance, illustrating plants and two lions, is still a beautiful but unusual sight in Romania. It is unusual even if the Mosaic religion doesn`t exclude animal shapes from its ornamental elements. Today the building is not safe so it is closed to the public, but if the frame was consolidated the synagogue could serve cultural purposes.
