National Festival of Cheese and Pastrami
The main occupation of the locals in the Bran, in the presence and importance over the years for the local economy is sheep. After spending the entire summer in the mountains, the shepherds are back with their flocks in the village, where it is "sheep'll cry." Although this practice has undergone many changes over the years, has kept its essence, remains a symbolic ceremony marking the end of pastoral. The event, which includes proprietary products division of the shepherds, and paying their place under the gaze of the whole village and visitors. Many artistic performances take place in three days at Bran and Park Inn Central. National Festival of cheese and pastrami is organized by the City Bran, Brasov ANTREC National Association of Chefs and Confectioners of Tourism (ANBTC). On this occasion, participants have the opportunity to taste the many local varieties of cheese and cheeses from other areas, such as Rucar and Sibiu. Craftsmen from different parts of the country will be present with handicrafts carpets, painted eggs and adorned with beads and costumes.
